What to Avoid

  • Avoid touching the piercing, except when cleaning

  • Avoid undue trauma to the piercing from clothing, friction, playing with the jewelry and vigorous cleaning. These activities can cause the formation of scar tissue, prolonged healing and many other complications

  • NEVER use products like Vaseline, coconut/almond/natural oils, essential oils, scented moisturizers, goats milk, Dettol, Betadine, alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide, baby oil, table salts, epsom salts etc on the piercing

  • Do not over clean

  • Do not submerge piercings into water for prolonged periods. Avoid pools, saunas, hot tubs & natural bodies of water

  • Do not use perfumes or makeup on the piercing until completely healed

  • Don't hang charms on the piercing until completely healed

  • Do not self diagnose or google symptoms, always contact the original piercer first - if after you contact them you are unsatisfied with the answer than contact another studio - but please remember that some shops will deliberately put each other down to win clients

Sea Salt Soak Mixture

  • Dissolve 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of non-iodized sea salt (iodine-free) into one cup (8oz/250ml) of warm distilled or bottled water

  • Use twice daily for two minutes or as recommended by your piercer

  • A stronger mixture is not better - saline solution that is too strong will irritate the piercing
